Q. Why are Biometric Time Clocks getting so popular?

A. They eliminate buddy punching so no one ever has to wonder whether one person punched a buddy's time card. You also save the cost of buying and maintaining time cards / badges.

Q. Will a computerized system really pay for itself quickly?

A. The America Payroll Association (APA) estimates that up to 8% of payroll will be saved merely by changing to automated time keeping. An average company of 50 hourly employees takes approximately 4 hrs to prepare for payroll. With automation, the same task may be reduced to approximately 30 minutes.

Q. Do I need a time clock for my company?

A. Probably. If you "overpay" 10 employees just 15 minutes extra per week each (a low estimate), at an $8 an hour average, that works out to over $1,000 per year! See our cost savings chart here.

Q. Are Barcode Badges or Magnetic Stripe Badges better?

A. They are BOTH good. Many people feel Magnetic Stripe badges are more secure because they cannot be duplicated as easily as barcode badges. Others feel that barcode badges are more flexible because they can print their own on a good printer or their company already uses barcode technology to identify items.
